The Boston Medical Center Nurses Improving Care for Health System Elders (NICHE) Committee Presents:

  A State of the Science Geriatric Nursing Conference

Featuring the 4 M’S: Mobility, Mentation, Medication and what Matters
Cost: $ 99.00 for full day registration for RN

          $ 60.00 for full day registration for undergraduate nursing students

The conference will feature expert speakers Arlene Stoller, from NICHE, Pat Noga PhD, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, Vice President, Clinical Affairs, of the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Association.  Lisa Caruso MD, Geriatrician, Catherine Fabrizi, NP Director of Nursing, Home Care Program, a patient and caregiver panel, music therapy and an inspiring move session with David Robert, highlighting Tai-Chi & movement therapy used in the geriatric population. Keynote: Rebecca Love MS, RN, nurse entrepreneur, TEDx speaker and founder of SONSIEL (Society of Nurse Scientists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs and Leaders), will top off the day with a Nurse-led Hackathon. During lunch will be an education/career and craft fair!

Boston Medical Center grants 6.5 nursing contact hours to nurses who complete this live activity. You must stay for the entire program and complete the pre and post evaluation surveys. An additional 0.5 contact hours will be given for each nurse who completes a follow up survey via survey monkey at 3 and 6 months post activity.  A total of 7.5 contact hours can be earned. This program has no commercial support. Faculty and planners have no vested interests, and there are no conflicts of interest. There will be no discussion of off label uses of drugs. Boston Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by American Nurses Association, Massachusetts, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
