The call for proposals is open for the ANA 2024 Membership Assembly.   Please submit proposals that reflect the ANA Enterprise’s 2023-2025 Strategic Plan and are solution oriented. ANA also recommends that you connect with ANAMASS to support alignment at the state level.

Section 1 of the 2024 Membership Assembly Policy Development Guideincludes questions for you to consider prior to submitting a proposal. In Appendix A of the Guide, you’ll find the updated ANA Enterprise 2023-2025 Strategic Plan. The Guide also contains detailed information on the submission and review of proposals, including Emergent Proposals; Dialogue Forums; and examples of approaches used by state nurses’ associations that have successfully engaged members in ANA’s policy work.

Proposals must be submitted throughthe online proposal form by 5 p.m. ET on Monday, Feb. 12 and you must also send a copy to ANAMASS info@anamass.org

On behalf of ANA's Professional Policy Committee, the call for proposals is now OPEN for the submission of proposals for discussion by ANA’s governing body, the Membership Assembly, at the 2024 annual meeting in June. All proposals submitted should be solution-oriented. Your involvement in ANA’s policy work is critical! 

Submitted proposals should reflect the ANA Enterprise’s 2023-2025 Strategic Plan. Please take a moment to review the webpage on Nursingworld.org that provides in-depth information about the work that will be taken under this strategic plan. Updated information on the Strategic Plan is also included in the Membership Assembly Policy Development Guide. The Professional Policy Committee continues to strongly recommend that as you consider submitting a proposal you connect with your state nurses association or the Individual Member Division to support alignment at the state level.

Lawmakers have introduced legislation that would set minimum staffing levels for nurses at hospitals nationwide. The American Nurses Association said last week that they are endorsing the legislation.
