The American Nurses Association (ANA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have partnered with 20 nursing specialty organizations to develop the Nursing Infection Control Education Network (NICE Network). The NICE Network seeks to empower nurses to protect themselves and their patients by providing real time infection prevention and control training to U.S. nurses.
What you can’t see CAN hurt you! The environment (e.g. air, contract surface and water) is a “natural” reservoir for disease pathogens. Yet, the environment is rarely considered a factor in the transmission of infectious disease. Preventing contamination between the source (environment) and the host (person) is a critical component to breaking the chain of infection. Attend this webinar to discover how collaboration between nurses and environmental services prevents and reduces the spread of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) through the application of standards, guidelines, best practices and established processes in infection control.
