Davidson Hamer, MD, FACP, FIDSA, FASTMH, FISTM
Davidson is a Professor of Global Health and Medicine at the Boston University School of Public Health and School of Medicine, and faculty member at the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory.Dr. Hamer is an infectious disease specialist and medical epidemiologist with particular interests in emerging diseases, tropical medicine, travel medicine, antimicrobial resistance, and maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH). In addition to his continued research on MNCH, Dr. Hamer has served as the principal investigator since 2014 for GeoSentinel, a global surveillance network of 68 sites in 28 countries that uses returning travelers, immigrants, and refugees as sentinels of disease emergence and transmission patterns throughout the world. Dr. Hamer has more than 300 publications, many of which address a range of topics within the fields of travel medicine, clinical parasitology, and the epidemiology of disease in returning travelers.
Tom Jones, ESQ. Vice President- AIM HR Solutions
Tom is an attorney specializing in labor and employment matters who started at AIM HR Solutions in 2000. He specializes in helping AIM members solve Human Resources concerns on the AIM employer hotline, education program facilitation and during monthly HR roundtables. Tom previously served as Deputy Director and General Counsel to the Massachusetts Department of Labor where he oversaw the implementation of state labor and employment laws. He is an MCAD certified trainer who provides harassment and discrimination training and investigations.

Previously, Vice President of Operations at the Lown Institute.David served as the Senior Director of US Health Care Economics, Policy and Reimbursement at Covidien, a $12 billion global healthcare products company. Prior to joining Covidien, he was the director of health care policy and strategy in the Massachusetts Office of Health and Human Services where he helped develop the Administration’s health care payment and delivery reform policy.David has also served as legislative and policy counsel for Partners HealthCare in Boston and prior to that he was the chief of staff and legal counsel for the state legislature’s health care finance committee. He has also practiced law in the areas of criminal defense and insurance defense.
