The American Nurses Association, the American Medical Association and the American Hospital Association released an open letter urging Americans to mask up and continue safety practices such as hand washing and social distancing to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 cases. "COVID-19 is not behind us and we must resist confusing re-opening with returning to normalcy. Doing so will escalate this crisis and result in more suffering and death," the letter stated.
