Thanks
to busy schedules, infection control protocols, and PPE, many nurses
are not adequately hydrated. However drinking enough water is one of the
best things you can do for your mind, immune system, skin, digestion
and so much more.
“Water
makes up 50 – 60% of our body weight and contributes to almost every
cellular function in order to maintain overall wellness,” says Lauren
Rocha, Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist at the University of Miami
Hospital.
Our 10 day #healthynurse challenge, Hack Your Hydration, powered by Compass One Healthcare, provides quick daily tips to help improve your hydration this summer — both at home and at work.

Mental
health is hurting for many people, especially for nurses. We are
strong, but we are not invincible. Compared to before the COVID-19
pandemic, nurses surveyed during the pandemic had higher instances of
anxiety disorder (20% vs 16%), depression disorder (16% vs 14%) and 34%
of nurses reported feeling sad, down, or depressed for at least 2 weeks
(29% before the pandemic).
Our August #healthynurse challenge, Protect Your Peace of Mind, offers daily inspiration to reduce stress and prioritize your mental well-being.
