Help support nurses by taking action on the Nurse Faculty Shortage Reduction Act today!
With 89% of nurses
reporting staffing shortages at their facilities, policymakers and the
healthcare community must join forces to rebuild our nation's nursing
workforce—an effort that has been complicated by a faculty shortage of
over 2,100 full-time vacancies.
This is why ANA led efforts in Congress to introduce the Nurse Faculty Shortage Reduction Act.
This bill would narrow the pay disparity between nurse faculty and
nurses working in acute care settings that discourages the pursuit of
faculty positions. While the bill’s introduction is a huge step, we need more lawmakers to cosponsor the bill to keep the momentum going.
This
is where we could use your voice. To gain more support, we need you to
urge your federal legislators to cosponsor this critical legislation.
