The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) are accepting applications for eligible entities to enter into cooperative agreements to provide financial incentives for registered nurses (RNs) to work in nursing homes. The aim of this $20 million funding opportunity is help with RN recruitment in nursing homes through tuition reimbursement and stipends. RNs receiving the financial assistance must work for three years in a qualifying nursing home or in an oversight role in a state agency. Eligible entities include small businesses, private and public higher education institutions, and non-profit organizations.
