The deadline has been extended for the Minority Fellowship Program's National Advisory Committee appointment process. There are 7 of 14 seats available for nomination (see Committee on Appointments — American Nurses Association | ANA). Anyone interested in serving on NAC submits their own nomination to leader@ana.org. Once the deadline passes, ANA Governance staff sends the full list of nominees to the MFP Director, Janet Jackson. The ANA Board usually asks Janet for her recommendations before they make the final appointments. Janet typically considers the following:
PhD or DNP degree
Expertise in psych mental health and substance use
