Mentor/Mentee Program

The Power of Mentoring: A Mentoring Program for Nurses in Transition
MARN invites RNs in Massachusetts to submit an application to be a mentor or mentee for this exciting statewide mentoring program. The program guided by Caring Theory, was funded by the American Nurses Association. Research has shown that mentoring makes a difference in nurses’ career satisfaction and success. Participants will be provided the unique opportunity to grow personally and professionally through one-to-one and group relationships.

The program key features:

·         Mentor/mentee pairing will be guided by a self-selection process.
·         Communication between mentor/mentee pairs will be flexible and self-designed to meet individual life styles.
·         Mentors and mentees selected will be supported by an experienced mentoring coordinator.
·         Applicants do not have to be a MARN member.
·         Mentoring experience is not required.
·         All qualified applicants will be considered.

Qualifications for Mentors: RN currently employed in a full/part time position with a minimum of 3 years of consecutive full time clinical experience
