On behalf of the ANA Board of Directors, the Committee on Appointments issues this call for qualified nominees for appointment to seats on the:
· Two (2) seats open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· One (1) seat open to a Non-Nurse/Non-Member
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018
· Eight (8) seats open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018
· Experience in political fundraising and an ability to reach and influence potential donors in one’s own state and beyond are essential
· Prior volunteer involvement with ANA and the ANA-PAC are strongly desired
· Geographic diversity is an important consideration for this board
· One (1) seat open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· One (1) or two (2) seat(s) open to Non-Nurse/Non-Members
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018
· Nominees should have experience with association management and be comfortable reading financial statements
· Five (5) seats open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2020
· Staff nurses with experience serving on ethics panels are especially desired
· An ability to fulfill the time commitment as outlined in the profile is essential
· Four (4) seats open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018
· Knowledge of and interest in ANA and/or C/SNA governance and organizational management
· Experience in bylaws development and/or parliamentary procedure is especially desired
· One (1) seat open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018
· Two (2) seats open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD) with terms of service January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2020
· One (1) non-voting alternate seat open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD) with a term of service January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018
· Pediatric nurse practitioners or general practitioners with backgrounds in research and health policy are especially desired
· Nomination of new nurses with leadership experience in their student nurses association is also encouraged
· One (1) seat open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018
· Knowledge and experience in association management and finance is essential
· Current or past C/SNA leaders, especially presidents and executive directors are desired
· One (1) seat open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2018
· Knowledge and experience in association management
· Current or past C/SNA leaders, especially presidents and executive directors are desired
· Four (4) seats open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD); must be PhD or DNP prepared with backgrounds in psych/mental health, behavioral health care, and/or substance abuse disorders and have an interest in leadership and mentoring in under-represented communities
· Two (2) seats open to members of the public who are behavioral health care consumers
· Term of service: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2019
· This committee has seats dedicated to representing particular minority groups. Nominations of Hispanic/Latinos are especially needed to help meet the representational requirements of the committee
· Three (3) seats open to ANA Members (C/SNA-ANA or IMD)
· Term of service: January 1, 2017- December 31, 2018
· Nomination of individuals with prior experience attending/participating in the annual Membership Assembly meeting is especially encouraged
· Ability to attend the annual Membership Assembly is essential

C/SNAs, the IMD, Organizational Affiliates and individual members who would like to nominate a fellow member may do so by submitting the following form:
Nominees may submit electronically up to three (3) letters of endorsement with the required nomination materials. All nomination materials must be submitted by 5:00pm ET on Monday, June 27.
