Reminder: Submit Your Proposal for ANA's 2026 Membership Assembly by February 11
Attention all ANAMASS members:
On behalf of the American Nurses Association’s Professional Policy Committee, the call for proposals is now OPEN for the 2026 Membership Assembly, ANA’s annual meeting, scheduled for June 26-27, in Washington, DC. Proposals will be accepted until February 11, 2026.
Before submitting to ANA, please contact ANAMASS info@anamass.org and let us know you are planning to submit!
It is important that you carefully review the 2026 Membership Assembly Policy Development Guide as you prepare your proposal submission. Section 1 of the Guide includes questions for you to consider prior to submitting a proposal. In Appendix A of the Guide, you’ll find the updated ANA Enterprise’s 2026 Strategic Plan. The Guide also contains detailed information on the submission and review of proposals; Dialogue Forums; previous topics discussed; and examples of approaches used by state nurses’ associations that have successfully engaged members in ANA’s policy work. It is critical that as a part of this process you reach out to your state nurses association or the Individual Member Division and let them know that you are planning to submit a proposal. These leaders can support your effort to submit a proposal.
Additional tools to support you in this process include a video prepared by the Professional Policy Committee that shares additional information that you should consider as you develop your proposal. Members of the Professional Policy Committee will also be holding Office Hours should you want personal guidance or have a question pertinent to your proposal.
Completed proposals MUST BE submitted (by using the online proposal form, no exceptions) by 5:00 pm ET on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Refer to Appendix B in the Guide for key dates and direct questions to Nursing Programs, via email (practice@ana.org).
Your involvement in ANA’s policy work is critical!
